We will continue to hold and look to build on the HWA Christmas/Library event.

Christmas 2009

In April 2016 we hosted a talk by Dr Chris French on the History of Hampton Wick Royal Cricket Club. The talk and reception served to launch our Library Exhibition on the same subject, which ran through until the end of June, providing an attractive and informative display on a little known aspect of local history.

Throughout the summer we presented Summer Wildlife in Bushy Park – a free Library exhibition of stunning wildlife photographs by Caz Buckingham with an accompanying children’s competition.

In November we hosted the extremely well-attended evening – 1916: The Year War Came to Hampton Wick. This drinks reception, exhibition and talk by Alison Merrington was packed out. Click here to read all about it.

We will look to hold and promote further events at the Library, furthering our aim to encourage more people to discover and use the Library and to establish it as a local hub for culture, information and community activity. Do get in touch if you have any ideas for talks, exhibitions or other events.
